Texas Sheet Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
I had never heard of Texas sheet cake until I tried this recipe. It's great! I made it exactly as given and like it so much this way, I wouldn't take a chance on trying some of the changes other reviewers have suggested. It is "demanded" for all of our church pot lucks!.

Pear Bread II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This recipe is super easy and really good. As others suggested, I used 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce and 1/2 cup vegetable oil. I also increased the spices (2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. freshly ground nutmeg, and 1 tsp. ginger) as that is my personal preferance. I used pears that were still a little hard, and it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!

Crabmeat Roll-Ups

I made this for my annual Christmas party, and wow was it a hit! I am glad that I had doubled the recipe, as it still didn't last the entire evening. It is so easy to make, and can be prepared ahead of time!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
I agree with everyone else! This recipe is fabulous. The first time I made it, I did it in the oven. Then I tried it on my Big Green Egg grill!!! Wow! If you don't have a Green Egg, try it on your grill anyway. Put the ham in a rack with a drip pan under it!

Apple Pie Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
Count me as one of those who absolutely loves this recipe. For those of you who had problems, I used King Arthur Bread flour, a store brand (Food City) of apple pie filling, and I have a Breadman Ultimate bread maker. I did not add any flour during the kneading process. The dough was slightly soft, but I have a lot of recipes that are like that and turn out great. (My Sally Lunn recipe is almost like batter, but it turns into great bread!) Don't be scared off by the bad reviews. this is a great recipe!

This recipe is fantastic. It's so easy to make, but tastes like it was really difficult. The sauce is wonderful. I've added it to my "favorites" catagory. Nikki

Bread Machine Bagels

I have tried several bagel recipes and didn't like the way any turned out until I tried this one. The bagels turn out perfect every time. Try adding dried cranberries or raisins. This works really great too.

Lamb Stew with Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2003
I love lamb and am always looking for new recipes. This one is so easy and is really delicious. I couldn't find dried mint, so I used Greek seasoning which has dried mint in it. Try it! You'll love it!
