Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This recipe is so quick and easy and, not to mention, delicious! I use Rolo candies and bake at 275 for 4 minutes. I sometimes use peanut M&Ms in place of the pecan halves as they add seasonal colors during the Holidays, while keeping a nutty crunch. These turtles make a great gift ~ put some in a cellophane bag with a ribbon ~ attach the recipe to if you wish.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Very good! The Parmesan topping gives the fish an excellent flavor. I also like that this dish can be made in minutes. I served it with couscous (another very quick dish to cook) and a broccoli. Yum!

Happy Shrimp

This recipe was very good. I didn't use the hot sauce as my family doesn't like spicy food. I added Parmesan cheese for extra flavor. It tasted even better the next day.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Delicious! I was looking for a different way to cook chicken and I found it with this recipe. I followed some of the other reviewers' suggestions and coated the chicken with flour before browning. (I cut the chicken into bite-size chunks too.) I also doubled the sauce and heated it separately before combining it with the chicken. This sauce is very tasty and it really sticks to the chicken so every bite is so flavorful. I didn't have garlic or ginger, so I used the powdered variety. The whole family loved it and asked that I make it again. It's a keeper!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Juicy and very tasty!! This was the first time I ever roasted a whole chicken. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to cook on a rack in the roasting pan, but I did. I added a few changes as I was feeling a bit creative. I filled the cavity with garlic cloves, onions and carrots and put extra onions, carrots and celery in the bottom of the pan with some white wine. I poured melted butter over the top of the chicken and then put it in the oven to bake. I basted the chicken every 30-60 minutes while baking. It was moist and very tasty! I served the chicken with two side dishes from this website: Pumpkin Casserole and Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad. Yummy!!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
These cookies are delicious. I must have made my cookies too large because I ended up with 2 dozen instead of the 3 dozen that the recipe yields. At first, I had trouble working with the dough, but the warmth of my hands made it easier to work with. You just need to hold the dough and work with it for a few extra seconds. If the dough cracked when I put my thumbprint in it, I picked up the dough and tried it again. They came out beautiful. I made several kinds of cookies for Christmas this year, and these were the first ones to disappear.

Dip For The Stars

I made this for a party and everyone LOVED it! It makes a very impressive presentation. The colors are perfect for the Christmas season too. The combination of the 4 tasty layers combined on a cracker is excellent! This one is definitely a keeper!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
This recipe is excellent! I was a little hesitant to make this salad because I figured it was a 3-ingredient salad: spinach, almonds and cranberries. But those ingredients, combined with the delicious dressing, is amazing! The toasted almonds really add a lot of flavor. To add some extra interest to this salad, I used half baby spinach and half of a spring mix. There were no left-overs! *~*~*~*~* I have been making this salad for a while now -- mostly because it's ALWAYS REQUESTED. Several people have asked me for the recipe. This one's definitely a keeper!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This recipe is awesome! I made it for a party and had to give the recipe to several people. They were raving about it! I served it with store-bought cinnamon pita chips to save time. This salsa would also be great over ice cream or pancakes.

Beer Bread I

This was okay, not as good as the boxed mix I usually use. It was a little bit too dry. The guests at my party didn't seem to mind, though. I served it with spinach dip.

This was good -- a little salty for my taste, so next time I will just cut back on the salt. I will definitely make this again.

Easy Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
My mother used to host Thanksgiving and always served boxed stuffing mix for Thanksgiving. This year, I hosted Thanksgiving and decided to surprise everyone with EASY SAUSAGE STUFFING and they loved it. It was a huge success! I used cornbread stuffing instead of cubed stuffing, but it was still delicious!

Oven-Roasted Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
My family LOVES this recipe! We made two minor changes - We didn't peel the potatoes (we just washed them really well and cut them with skin on), and we didn't have Lawry's garlic salt with parsley, so we combined regular garlic salt with some parsley flakes. We have made this recipe over and over again. You've got to try it!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2007
This recipe is a keeper! It's much better than the packaged brands I usually buy. I will make this again and again. I didn't know homemade could be so easy! I used vegetable broth instead of chicken broth and I forgot to add the salt and pepper, but it still tasted great! Thank you!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

This recipe is great. I used two standard-sized loaf pans and baked for about an hour. Once they were cooled, I wrapped them in foil and waited a day before I cut into them. It was defintely worth the wait.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
My husband and I enjoyed this soup very much. I only used 4 chicken breast halves, but it was still awesome and the chicken was so tender. I also added an extra can of corn. Next time, I will omit the whole tomatoes. Thank you Catherine!

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
These tasted just like the cookies I remember having as a kid. They were soft and chewy. I dipped my fork in sugar and made the cris-cross before baking, flattening the dough to about 1/4 inch. I think I would like a stronger peanut butter flavor, so next time, I'll either use chunky peanut butter, chopped peanuts, or peanut butter chips. Thanks!
