My favorite things to cook
I love international foods and have made many things that most people have never eaten or tried to make. I'm one of those cilantro-eaters.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Er . . . I will not miss Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Nobody makes a better roast turkey than my mother, who is such an accomplished chef she should be teaching a cooking class.
My cooking triumphs
Too numerous to mention. . . but I'll give credit for many good meals which were inspired by my co-chefs at Allrecipes.com. I think that my biggest culinary accomplishment was learning how to cook healthy, lose weight and keep 27 pounds off, while enjoying foods from my kitchen.
My cooking tragedies
Lizard loaf - I once made something so gross that I really could not eat it. It was made of squirrel and other meats. I made the mistake of cooking the meats before putting them into the pate. The texture was spongy and horrible.
