I grew up in Charlotte. All of my family still lives here. I love trying new recipes. I do not like sweets very much, but my family loves them. My mother cooked the same recipes over and over again when we were growing up. I have never asked for any of the recipes, since I would prefer never to eat any of it again. I guess that is why I only have a few standard recipes and I try new ones 3-4 times a week. For my 1st anniversary, I made veal scappolini (sp?) over angel hair pasta and a spinach souffle. My husband still talks about that night's dinner! SUSHI....I have tried SOOOO many times to master my own california rolls. They are just horrible! The sushi rice is what gives me the most problem, it just doesn't taste as good as what I get in the restaurants.
