This is simple to make and the results are outstanding. It was proclaimed the "best" by my husband. I will definitely make this again!

Cream of Asparagus Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
I halved this recipe and blended the soup for a smoother consistency. I did have to add extra seasoning as it was a little bland. The servings seem a little bit off - when I halved the recipe it only made 2 servings.

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This is a wonderful recipe. I made it twice because I was completely distracted the first time - I realized when they were baking that I'd left out the sugar AND the salt. Trust me, they're MUCH better with both. When the recipe is followed correctly these turn out great! I will definitely make them again.

Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
This is the easiest pumpkin roll recipe I've ever made. It's delicious as well. Two hints to help it turn out every time: 1) Spray the pan with cooking oil spray, then line with parchment paper to make the cake turn out flawlessly, and 2) Be sure to sprinkle powdered sugar all over the cotton towel before rolling the cake the first time. Thanks for a keeper, Jackie!

Pumpkin Ice Cream | Williams-Sonoma

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
This is so creamy and delicious. I put a scoop on warm apple crisp for a real treat. It's a little involved, but worth it. You're better off making the custard the day before you plan to make the ice cream to allow it to chill thoroughly before churning.

French Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This is the best bread recipe I've ever made. I made one large loaf and baked about 35 minutes. It did take longer to rise because of the change. I wanted larger slices for sandwiches, but I guess I'll have to make another loaf as it's disappearing quickly.

Cheesy Rosemary Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Delicious, and very forgiving. I had to change my oven temperature for another recipe and they turned out just fine. I used fresh Rosemary instead of dried, since I have it growing in my kitchen. I loved the hint of lemon zest - it really brightened the flavor and worked well with the Rosemary.

Marinated Pork Medallions with a Ginger-Apple Compote

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
I'm rating this 5 stars for taste. It's absolutely delicious! There are parts of the recipe that are unclear, however. My pork took a good bit longer than the stated 10 minutes on a very hot grill. I did use a thermometer to test the meat. I will definitely be making this one again. Thanks, Adam!

Pumpkin-y Molasses Spice Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
These are delicious cookies, but I wouldn't really call them "pumpkin-y". I mostly taste the molasses and spices. I am glad the pumpkin's in there though - makes me feel like I'm eating healthy. :)

Cornmeal Molasses Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
This recipe couldn't be easier, and the bread machine does all the work. I hadn't used my bread machine to bake in ages - I usually just use it for dough. I'm glad I decided to try this recipe in the bread machine. The crust is nice and chewy, and the bread has just a hint of sweetness. It's great with jam or pumpkin butter.

Pumpkin Coffee Cake

Delicious! I did double the pumpkin as some reviewers suggested and this was perfect! I left the pecans off one of the cakes due to my picky husband, but I love the crunch of the pecans. Will definitely make this again!

Ciabatta

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
These were delicious and not difficult to make. Yes, the recipe takes quite a while. I let my sponge sit about 14 hours before beginning the bread. I left one loaf plain and sprinkled one with a mixture of parm and garlic. I finally used my pizza stone for this recipe. It wasn't big enough for both loaves, so I also used a preheated airbake cookie sheet and switched the loaves halfway through. My husband ate most of one loaf with dinner. Thanks for a keeper!

Jerre's Black Bean and Pork Tenderloin Slow Cooker Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
This was delicious. I used pork loin rather than tenderloin since that's what I had on hand. Great texture. I used a chicken bullion cube dissolved in 1/2 cup of water - I didn't add any extra salt and it was perfect. Will definitely make again!

Maine Venison Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
Excellent recipe! My oldest got his first deer this year. The first recipe we tried was this one. The one modification I made was to shake the venison cubes in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders and quickly fry them in canola oil before adding to the pot. Then I deglazed the pan with beef stock and added that to the stew. Delicious!
