Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2004
The one and only Banana Bread that will make a difference here on earth. I will never ever make another banana bread recipe aside from this one! How those few bananas pack in the flavor will amaze me but they do. I sprinkle a brown sugar/butter crumble mixture on top the loaf before baking. It comes out wonderfully crunchy while the inside is moist. HINT! Avoid over beating/stirring the batter! The more you over combine the ingredients, the heavier the bread will turn out!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

A great cookie! They are just great! I allow my cookies to come out while they can still hold a chewy texture- maybe a minute or two before they are considered "done".....they looked perfect and tasted great with a glass of milk for the kids and a cup of coffee for the neighbors!

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Destroy all other peanut butter cookie recipes and guard this one! This IS the most true to taste peanut butter cookie ever invented. How the recipe can use so little flour and have a great cookie turn out is a true mystery. Thanks Joey!

Best Ever Beef Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2003
Really good! Don't be afraid to add your own little ingredients here and there. You can basically add and subtract what you want without ruining the stew. I cut back on the amount of beef broth by one can. It made my dish thicker. I omiited the cabbage completely. I added 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and it gave it such a great flavor!!!! I added a little bit of garlic clove too. It enhances the stew without making it garlicky. You won't have any leftovers!

Delicious!!!!!! When it's just coming out of the oven you may wonder why it's so fluffy but don't be alarmed- it collapses a bit as it cools off. My husband ate the ENTIRE dish in 2 days! And he wonders why he is too fluffy? :)

Chocolate Caramel Nut Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2003
This recipe was very good! I have one recommendation though: Instead of placing the 4 candy bars on top of the pie before baking the last layer CHOP them into smaller pieces this way it melts easier. When you refridgerate the pie the melted candy bar chunks make for difficult cutting. If you chop the candy bars into smaller sections it will melt easier and distribute the Snickers taste throughout the entire pie. Enjoy!

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2003
I changed this recipe around a bit and came up with a wonderful savory dish! I used beef tips instead of Beef Chuck. I rolled it into flour mixed /w salt and pepper, browned it in 2 tbsp oil. I added a can of tomato paste with the broth. I added 3 tbsp Worcesteshire sauce. I also added a pinch or two of Rosemary and a half clove of garlic. This turned out so well!!

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2003
This recipe was a hit while it was still on the stove cooking! It's nice and thick while still creamy, if that makes any sense! I didn't have Velveeta on hand so I used around 4 oz. of brick Sharp Cheddar and shredded it myself. I am sure it will all be gone in 5 minutes!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2003
These cookies were a good but a bit soggy. I usually use REAL butter for every recipe but this time I used "I can't Believe it's not Butter". I feel that this recipe would have turned out better had I used the real butter. But they were still VERY good and didn't last long!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

This was a DELICIOUS CAKE! IF anyone made this cake and didn't like it, then they did something VERY wrong in the cooking process! Not only was this cake moist and full of flavor but it was so pretty when it came out! I didn't do the double layer. I used a regular oblong cake pan and baked it the traditional way. My hubby loved this recipe too!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2003
AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME! My husband is from Sao Paulo, Brazil, were Stroganoff is very common. My idea of Stroganoff was Hamburger Helper! My hubby was horrified! So I found this recipe and gave it a try. My husband took one bite and declared that I was the perfect wife! I guess a way to a man's heart really is through his stomach! :) In the end of cooking time, I added another can of Beef Broth to make it a bigger dish. I then added some Corn Starch to thicken it up and it did not compromise the taste at all. This is the ULTIMATE Stroganoff dish. Make a double batch if you want to allow people to have second and third helpings!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME! My Brazilian hubby wouldn't even LOOK at soup, let alone taste it when we were first married. We went to a pizzeria where this soup was being served. My hubby tasted my soup and asked if I could make it. I found this wonderful recipe! I served this at many family functions and I didn't make enough for everyone. It was a hit!

Cuban Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2003
Very good stew! However, there are so many ingredients that yeild a VERY small portion! This stew was not enough to feed 5 people. I will just add more ingredients the next time: I will add beef stock to add more volume, more potatoes and more beef. I did add a little bit of frozen corn to add more diverse flavor and add a festive color to the dish. It was very good!

Mom's Best Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
This recipe was AWESOME- UNTIL I added the cheese! It became sickeningly sweet and everyone was disappointed! I was sad that I put so much effort into this and everyone was commenting on how great it tasted and smelled during frequent taste tests but that 1/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese completely destroyed the taste! WARNING! This recipe is so huge that you will have a difficult time fitting it into a normal pot! Will feed at least 15 guests!

AWESOME! The BEST fudgey you will EVER have! It is so simple to make that you feel like you didn't make it right, until you taste it! I have made this recipe 5 times in the last month because my husband pleads for it! My neighbors think I am a Fudge Goddess! If you want attention, make this recipe and give away the fudge! You may need to open up a fan club for yourself!
