About this Cook
I'm a Happy-Go-Lucky woman that likes to play and learn. :) You can find me parked at the TV when there's a Cooking Show and IRON CHEF is my favorite! I also love to watch Discovery, History Channel, Animal Planet and Comedy Central. I am always out and about with my children and they are learning how to cook now too!
My favorite things to cook
ANYTHING MEDITERRANEAN! Long live SOUVLAKI! So easy to make that it can be deceiving! My husband bought me a Kitchen Aid mixer and he wondered why something so small could cost so much. But no complaints! My dough for breads is amazing! I also love to make pastries of all kinds.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love anything that tastes like it's bad for you...hahaha! Our famiy favorites is experimenting w/our pizza doughs. The kids now make their own, including rolling it out or patting it down and they top it themselves. We only use our homemade pizza sauce so it's really a family meal.
My cooking triumphs
Finally being able to make dough without having the breads coming out like deadly weapons. Years back, my biscuits were hockey pucks. Now, no one is laughing because their mouths are too full of delicious breads!
My cooking tragedies
I spent the ENTIRE day nursing a pot of Spaghetti Sauce, a recipe that I found in Allrecipes. Everything was fine until the last step- adding the cheese to the sauce. What a mistake! It looked and SMELLED like Vomit!! Now, I just pour in spices and wing it....there's just no other way!!

Naan
This bread was amazing. Easy to make and just impressive! It is the best bread I've tasted outside of an Indian restaurant. I was paying $2.79 at a local grocery store for TWO pieces of Naan bread and this recipe yielded at least 15 good sized pieces and they tasted better. Don't worry if they look floppy on your grill. Make sure you spray your grill w/nonstick spray, arrange the dough, and you just watch them rise. It's that simple.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies
Another perfect cookie recipe on Allrecipes. If anyone does not like this recipe, they shouldn't be in the kitchen. You could easily sneak oatmeal into a diet of someone who doesn't like it and they would never know. It's a cookie with subtle peanut butter flavor and the chocolate chips rock!
