I just made some - it's wonderful! I used two large family tea bags instead of 6 small ones.

Candy Cane Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
So yummy!!!!! I smashed 12 candy canes into tiny pieces. It came out to 3/4 cup but I thought it was plenty. I tried swirling the red food coloring on top but next time I'll skip that. My husband took it to work yesterday and didn't bring one piece back. Everyone loved it!

Dutch Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
This was so good!! I used Fuji apples and left out the lemon juice. I didn't have a pastry tool though to cut in the butter. I soften it a bit and used and potatoe masher. Next time I'll skip the crumb topping and just do a regular one. I don't think it came out quite right. But.... the apples inside were to die for!

Portobello Penne Pasta Casserole

This was awesome!!! I did add two extra cloves of garlic and used 2 tablespoons of my 1/2 cup of butter to sautee the mushrooms in instead of using oil. This is one I'll make again and again!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

One word.... AWESOME! This was a big hit both times I have made it. Today I printed out the recipe to hand out to friends. I did leave out the sesame seeds though - just don't care for them. I also cut the sugar back to 1/4 cup and found it plenty sweet. I also used red onion. It was so good. I'm actually craving it right now.

Watergate Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
When I first made this I used the 8 oz can of pineapple. The mixture came out really thick, but I loved the strong pistachio taste. Next I made it using a 20 oz can of pineapple. But this made it too runny and it had WAY too much pineapple. I'm not sure what I'll try next. Maybe two 8 oz cans. Also, I used chopped pistachios instead of walnuts. YUM!!

It tastes fabulous BUT..... it the layers seemed too thin. There doesn't seem enough of everything for a 9x13 pan. Next time I will double it and still put it in the same pan.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2002
This was fabulous! I couldn't find vegatable broth so I used chicken broth. I also used a 16 oz jar of sun dried tomatoe alfredo sauce instead of spaghetti sauce. After the jar was emptied I filled it up with about 3/4 c of water, shook it and added it to the rest of the mixture. I also drained the artichoke hearts juice into the mixture. This was a BIG hit at my dinner party.
