My husband and I come from German families but this is the first time we ever had this type of recipe. We love all of the ingredients but did not like them together. This just did not taste good at all. My husband suggested trying this with some type of sausage instead of hot dogs.

Yummy! I took this to a summer cook-out and everyone loved it, but I sure could of used a big glass of cold milk with it. The cake tasted great, but didn't look so good. I need to figure out how to get it out of the pan in a form that looks better. I also used chocolate icing, but I may experiment with the icing next time.

Personally, I would give this recipe 4 stars because I really like it. However, everytime I make it for a group of people, I am the only person that seems to like it. I love the sweet and sour flavors mixed together. Be sure to cut the vegetables into small pieces so that it is easier to eat. Next time I make it, I think I will try to add bacon.
