About this Cook
I am a busy registered nurse who raised 3 boys and I very much so enjoy cooking for them. I have a new grand son (my first) as well whom I enjoy spending time with. I love trying new recipes and get inspired from shows such as Top Chef and from many on the Food network as well.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods such as meatloaf, roast beef. I enjoy mexican foods fajitas, refried beans, taco pizza. My kids love my thanksgiving turkey and stuffing and cream chipped beef. I love baking.. cakes, and other deserts, but for others..I need to lower my weight.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grandmas famous punch and sandwiches with sides on Christmas eve.The punch recipe is a favorite and has been passed down for several generations. Grandmas famous ham, baked beans and scalloped potatoes for Easter.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to cook anything that was not burnt or followed an exact recipe!
My cooking tragedies
Burning so many things and being so intimidated by anything in the kitchen, when my kids were growing up. All first trays of cookies baked were burned (Christams)That became a tradition!

Corn Pudding V
Awesome! I Made this for thanksgiving and the varied "tastes" all loved it! even my finicky teenagers loved it! It was quick, easy and gone after one sitting! I now use it as a very succesful side to my famous mexican dinners- chicken and steak fajitas, green salsa and homemade refried beans.
