Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
I will make this again. My kids loved it and they rarely like anything I cook. Next time I think I will use the suggestion of the taco seasoning in place of the spices to give it an extra kick.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
This was another great meal. I love that it took less than 5 minutes to prepare in the morning. I used cream of mushroom as my store doesn't carry golden mushroom. I also used beef broth instead of water. I cooked on low for 9 hours and it did not burn at all, but made the meat nice and tender. When I got home I turned it on high and added 2 cups of fresh sliced mushrooms while I waited for my pasta to cook. I loved it while my family ate it but didn't care for it.

Tomato Dill Soup

only a little good. The way it is written it is way to salty and I love salt. Maybe the use of fresh tomatoes would help with that. It was better with a little cream and cheese added to it.

Chicken a la Creme

OH My this is Wonderful. I added a diced red chili pepper during the chicken saute, and the added a dash of garlic powder and a dash of onion powder during the cream simmering time. It's to die for.

loved it. I halved the recipe and used a DEEP pie crust. It barely all fit in. But it did, and was Yummy.

Pizza Soup I

Thought it tasted good and not greesy at all. The only thing I did differently is that I added one small jar of pizza sauce and it was yummy. I served with bread sticks.

Yum. Dinner was ready when I walked in the door form a long days work, all I had to do was shred the beef. We ate it on hamburger buns topped with beef, peppers and shredded jack cheese.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
This is great and refreshing. I only used 1/2 bunch of cilantro, and it was good. Probably still good with the whole bunch. I used it on top of a cheese burger with avacado slices on top of that and it was good. I also used it spread on top of my pizza too. I am sure it would be good on pork, and chicken too. Yum!

YUMMY! Brings back childhhod memories, as my mom made these too when I was a kid. Made them exactly as stated and they were good. They were even tasty without the chocolate coating.

Pina Colada Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
Unique cookie. At first I thought they were just ok. I don't think they are too sweet, but it does mostly taste like pineapple. After these cookies sat in a tin for a week with other cookies, when we opened it my son, husband, and I grabbed out a pina colada cookie over all the others, so we must have liked them alot.

Good cookie. The cookies edges didn't set up like a good looking cookie, but spread out a little. Maybe my fault, but they tasted good.

Onion Roasted Sweet Potatoes

It was edible but I will not make again. It had a salty/processed/chemical flavor. I did cook at a lower temp. Just didn't care for it. Maybe too much onion packet.

Hidden Secret Burgers

Very Good. I made them exactly as stated, but cooked them on the stove top instead of the oven. They tasted like meatloaf. I made them for christmas dinner, and I got away with it. I called them Christmas burgers, because they had a red, white, and green present on the inside. Thanks!

Blue Ribbon Mincemeat Pie Filling

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
First thing I did was to scale this down to 10 servings and it made 1 pie. I made it with a double batch of "Basic Flaky Pie Crust" found on this website. Since I have never eaten a mincemeat pie, I have nothing to compare this to, and I don't know how authenic the flavor is. BUT I liked this pie. It was very good. The only thing I did different is to use apple juice in place of the brandy. Good.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
Very Good. I doubled the recipe, because I was making a double crust pie. This was nice and easy to roll out and not crumbly at all. I didn't even use all the water and it was still nice and smooth. I baked my pie for about 35 minutes. Yum and flaky. Next time I might consider butter flavored shortening. I baked my pie for 35 minutes at 425 degrees. Excellent
