Unbelievably Good Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2007
Loved it, but it is necessary to use alot more lemon juice, if you want to taste it. I used 3TBSP's lemon juice and I still could have probably used more. If I didn't use that much, it would taste good, but it just tasted like condensed milk.

Chocolate Bar Fondue

Just tasted like melted chocolate, but what else would I expect. Made it exactly. Served with pound cake, marshmallows, coconut cookies, strawberries, bananas, pretzels, ect.. But the strawberries were the favorite.

Creamy Veggie Fondue

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
Very good. I didn't have any wine so I made it without, and it still turned out good. I also only used 1/2 the dry mustard. We used soft and hard pretzels, raw broccoli, bell pepper strips, carrots, ect.. but the soft pretzels were the favorite.

Grilled Pineapple Slices

I thought these were pretty good, but not enough coconut flavor. I used canned slices and sprinkled them with a sugar cinnamon mixture. Maybe the addition of shredded coconut would help.

Coconut Flan

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
I thought this was very good, especially the next day. I added 1 tsp coconut extract for a more coconut flavor, but next time I will add at least 2 like an earlier reviewer stated. I also only used 4 eggs, because that's what I had on hand. It still was yummy.

Feta Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
Made this exactly as written, except I forgot to add in the parsley in the end. BUt it is one of my favorite soups now. I don't think my kids would like it, but us grown-ups sure did. My Feta was mixed through out the soup and didn't sink. Will make again.

This was good. I forgot to only add 1/2 the almond extract as suggested by the recipe submitter. and one whole tsp was a little too much. Still good and will make again

Brazilian Lemonade

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
I tried it as is and it was good. I made it again this time using only 2 cups of water and 1/2 cup condensed milk and it was delicious, creamy, and smooth like a key lime pie. I sweetened it with splenda instead of sugar, to cut calories.

Spinach, Red Lentil, and Bean Curry

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I was concerned about this not being saucy or spicy enough so I doubled both the spices and sauce. I changed this alot but was satisfied with my changes. These were my changes: I used brown lentils, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, 8 oz sourcream instead of yogurt, 2 teaspoons curry powder instead of turmeric and cumin, 1 tsp chile powder, 4 cloves garlic, 14 oz can diced tomatoes instead of two fresh, no cilantro, ans 1 can pinto beans. Everything else stayed the same. It turned out great--anthough I made many changes. Served with rice and naan.

I made this exactly as stated except didn't brush the finished product with butter. It was raining outside today so I cooked them on the flat panels of my waffle maker. They were yummy.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

I have to vote with the majority on this one. Superb! I only made three chicken breasts but made the same amount of sauce. Made exactly as stated and ate every bite. The gravy was great over the chicken and to dip my homemade bread into. I will make this again.

Apricot Tea Punch

it was pretty good. I made it one with apricot nectar and once with peach nectar. I also used fresh brewed tea, because I don't like instant. Interesting flavor, but didn't wow me.

Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
Boy this makes alot. I made it exactly as stated but forgot to add the bacon bits, oh man. But it was still very good for a salad to take to a barbeque. I used a packet of ranch dressing the type you mix with milk and mayo. I did that and added some sourcream in place of some of the Mayo. I will make again.

Okanagan Peach Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
Still trying to decide about this soup. No one in my family liked it except for me, and I was only able to eat a small bowl. It was a little to sweet for our tastes. I halved the curry, didn't add turmeric, and doubled the coconut milk, and used canned peaches. I know thats not what affected it in terms of us not caring fot it. I tried it both warm and cold and can't decide which way I like it better, but I did like it best topped with sliced green onions. I will not make again.
