Perfect Apple Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Although I'm giving this recipe a 5 star rating I have to say that it is based on the filling only. I was pressed for time so I ended using a ready to use crust. It is excellent though. I used 5 very large Granny Smith apples and it was a little bit on the tart side. So I'd increase the amount of sugar just a tad if using these types of apples again.

Coconut Custard Pie IV

This was a good coconut custard pie. I love coconut but I have to agree with previous member who said it was a little bland.

I thought this turned out very good. I didn't use the cloves because I was out. I did add about one tbs. of plum sauce.

Wow! I loved this recipe. My husband kept going back for more. I followed the recipe close. I added a little more bacon, more onion and garlic. It was a wonderful addition to our Easter dinner.

Really Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo

"Excellent! Better than what you get in a lot of restaurants!" Those were my husband's words. I completely agree. I tried to follow the recipe and went as far as grating fresh nutmeg but accidentally forgot to added it! Ooops! Still... Yummm!

Supreme Chicken

Great recipe. I agree that it is rich. I seasoned the chicken with salt, garlic powder and black pepper. Used a little more flour and per other's recommendations I doubled the sauce.

This was good with the modifications I made: I added 2 cloves of garlic, crushed, and also about 1/2 tsp salt.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
I made just a few changes based on the reviews. I used Campbell's Consomme, Campbell's French Onion Soup, garlic powder, onion powder, worcestershire sauce, a little salt and black pepper. Otherwise I stuck to recipe. The meet was very tender. I did cut it and let it sit in the sauce for about 1 hour before eating it. Great and easy recipe! Thanks!

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

I used the oregano suggested and left out the lemon juice. It was good and I'll probably make it again but I wasn't blown away.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
Perhaps I should have read the reviews prior to making this. The sauce tasted great. The chicken itself tasted a little bland. I would season it with salt, garlic powder and black pepper next time and maybe use higher quality Swiss cheese, and the bread crumbs as other suggested. It was good but it could be even better.

I also used OJ with high pulp. We thought it was good but a little bland. On the other hand, it was very quick and easy.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Very tasty. I used beef broth instead of just water. I also seasoned it with salt, pepper and granulated garlic powder. I didn't chop the celery or the onion, instead I sliced them and quartered them.

Garlic Asparagus with Lime

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
Excellent! I added two more cloves of garlic. I cooked it for about 6 minutes. Still just a bit crunchy. It was easy, fast and I liked the lime added to it. I served it with Sylvia's Ribs and Maria's Rice (both from this site). Would probably be great with fish too.

what a wonderful recipe. I double it because our family loves ribs. I also used some crushed red pepper and added additional lemon, hot sauce, Worcestershire to suit our tastes. It is a keeper! Thank you! :)

Maria's Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
Wow! What a delicious rice dish! So easy to make. The only change I made was to cook it at 350 for the first 40 minutes and the remaining at 400. It was in the lower rack of the oven because I was cooking other items at the time. This will be a keeper for sure. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe Melissa. :)

Kerry's French Toast

This was a good variation of French Toast. I decided to give it a try based on my friends Cookinme's and Scotdog98's reviews. I did cut down the sugar just a bit and used freshly grated nutmeg. I would love to try it with some fresh strawberries too. Thanks for the recipe Kerry!

This was alright. Nothing spectacular, just a little more than bland. Similar to Chicken Marsala but more on the sour side.
