I am a single mother of a teenager. I love to cook and love to eat. My teen is the pickiest person I have ever met, but it gives me challenges to overcome! AllRecipies has certainly helped in that area. I love to cook all types of food. My favorite is creating what my roommate calls "Sunday Soup". I take the leftovers from the weeks meals and create a soup or casserole, put it in the crock-pot and have one more meal! Nine times out of ten it is a hit! My favorite tradition is making Christmas candy. My grandmother started teaching me the tricks when I was only six. I still use the same techniques and recipies that she taught me and I know she is still with me each time I cook. Each day brings triumph! My senior year in high school and my last year in 4-H. I won the grand champion ribbon for my Cherry Pie. I also had to put my 12-year old cat down after he had been hit by a truck. To this day, I cannot bake a cherry pie and not think of my sweet Creamie!
