Wow, this is a wonderful alternative to the traditional smoked ham...it was fantastic, my entire family love it...even my father who is a chef! I also added some ham stock for additional flavor.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
WOW...I can't say enough about this recipe, these are to die for! I followed the recipe to the T, except I melted the peanut butter with the butter before adding it to the other mixture. Stuck it in the freezer for a 30 minutes to set up and the bars were perfect!

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
Quick, simple, and easy but really, really good! I followed others advice and reduced the water and I added in a few dashes of Worcestershire Sauc. I also simmered the sauce for about an hour on low heat with 2 bay leaves. I used it on Jay's Signature Pizza Crust from this site. The pizza was better then delivery!

Fantastic holiday bread with a wonderful aroma! I used pumpkin pie spice, OJ instead of water, a little more pumpkin and cranraisins...it was ideal for my work holiday luncheon! Baked it in a bundt pan for an hour and it came out perfectly.

I have made this twice now and you really can't go wrong with this recipe. The second time I added in some fresh grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, garlic powder, and a little basil....Oh the crust was so delish!

Love, love, love these mashed potatoes! So much flavor and great to have when your not serving gravy over them. I added in about a tsp of white pepper and some minced up chives too! Fantastic!

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

I wouldn't change a thing to this recipe, it was fantastic! I finely chopped the pecans in my food processor and used a spicy hot/sweet mustard. Served it with herb oven roasted new potatoes and steamed broccoli!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
This really does make a tasty pork chop...however, I had really thick chops and I over baked them slightly so they were dry, but the coating saved them! I always have trouble baking pork chops, but next time I will know better :)

Philly Cheese Steak Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
The true Philadelphia football fan that I am just had to try this recipe. I did alter it quite a bit, first made my own crust with Jay's signature crust recipe from this site and used pizza sauce. Sauteed steak, mushrooms, onions, and garlic, topped with white cheddar cheese and mozzarella, it was fantastic to eat while my husband and I watched the game!

Linguine and Clam Sauce

This is my families personal favorite! I add 2 additional cans of chopped clams, I like a lot of clams! I also add 1/2 of white wine and of course fresh grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese. Serve with a crusty bread, and every plate will be wiped clean for sure!

Bangers and Mash

I always order this dish at a local Irish Pub, and let me tell you it is just as easy to make from home. I do make my own onion mushroom gravy and jazz up the mashed potatoes with garlic and parmesan cheese. It is a wonderfully comforting and filling meal on a chilly winter night!

Salmon With Green Fettuccine

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This was very tasty. I used shallots in place of the onions for a milder flavor and some fresh minced garlic. Made a roux as suggested by others and it all was very simple to prepare. I also added a few dashes of lemon pepper. Next time I make this I think I would use fresh salmon because the sauce is really impressive on it’s own and I think the packaged salmon takes a little something away from it.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
Yummy dish! I did lighten up this recipe a bit buy using ground turkey, light cream cheese and sour cream, along with 2% cheddar/pepper jack cheese. I took other's advice and added salsa to the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking, taco seasoning, and omitted the chips completely. Topped them with a few black olives and on each shell I added a sliced jalapeño pepper! Everyone raved and I will surely make this again!

I love the flavor this adds to the asparagus and it's so simple to make. The only change I made was to subsitute olive oil for the butter.
