Honey Nut Granola

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Awesome as written - but...we used 3/4 cup honey and added about 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter. No trouble with it sticking to the pan - it came out perfect. We stirred it about every 8-10 minutes and baked at 275 F for about 30 minutes total. We made two batches and just used almonds, peanuts, and walnuts in one - and to the second batch we added coconut with all of the nuts and stirred in banana chips and craisins when it was just about done. Awesome! We probably spent $50 to buy all of the ingredients...but we bought big bags of nuts so we'll have plenty on hand. Awesome with vanilla yogurt and ripe peaches!

Connie's Zucchini 'Crab' Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
Absolutely fantastic!! This is our new go to for all of that zucchini we grew this year. We made a spicy sauce from mayo, sour cream, a splash of Tabasco garlic sauce, and a couple of jalapenos to go along with them. My husband says he prefers these to crab cakes! Thanks for the recipe!

Strawberry Pie II

Followed the recipe as written...except I used some suggestions from others and melted 2 Hershey's chocolate bars and spread on the bottom and then added a layer of sliced almonds before adding the strawberries and the glaze. Thanks for the recipe!

Great way to use leftover ham! I added a couple of slices of lemon after covering it - a keeper! Thanks for the recipe.

Beth's Scalloped Cabbage

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2002
Excellent! I prepared this almost to the letter - except I mixed the melted butter and flour together before adding milk (I added more than a cup of milk) and I just added several slices of American cheese bc that's all I had in the house. It came out great - no leftovers. A great recipe - especially because you can make it with pantry staples. Thanks!
