Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Served these over the weekend for a party -- went over great! I used 6 oz water, 6 oz diet sprite, and then used about 10 oz tequila, and topped it off with 2 oz triple sec. Definitely use Bud Light Lime for the beer as you get that extra lime flavor and you cannot taste the beer at all! great!!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
WONDERFUL!!!! Just made this today and had it for dinner -- I tweaked it similar to other reviews by adding some salt, pepper, & garlic powder. I also used chicken broth instead of water, and didn't use any butter at all. We put only 1 can of biscuits in and that was plenty! Not a drop left in the crockpot!!! Thanks for a great one! This is definitely a keeper!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Used this recipe atop penne noodles for a baby shower...turned out fabulous! I quadrupled it as I was serving it as a side dish to 35 people and everyone wanted to know what restaurant I ordered it from!!! LOL So, a big hit! I altered it a little based on other reviews -- used a combo of skim milk and half & half, used light cream cheese, and added some oregano and basil for flavor! Delicious!!!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This recipe was awesome! I also added uncooked chicken breasts and shredded it after about 3 hours. I also added black beans and used rotel. We topped with shredded mont jack and cheddar, sour cream, and crumbled tortilla chips! A great winter soup!

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
Very very good!! I omitted the salt altogether to avoid the saltiness per the other reviews. I wasn't so sure as it was cooking, but when we actually went to eat and served over long grain rice, we thought is was AWESOME! Will definitely cook again!

Brown Sugar Chops

Very good! Changed it up a bit -- didn't have soy sauce, so I used a little worcestshire sauce, white wine vinegar, and sweet & sour sauce. I served it over a long grain rice / vegetable medley mix. The sauce was a little runny, but still delish!!!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
AWESOME banana bread recipe! I have tried so many variations over the years, and this is by far one of the best and easiest! I used 5 bananas, a little less than a cup of applesauce, and about a cup of sour cream, and then also put in a few dashes of cinnamon. PERFECT!!! My family loved it and this one wasn't soggy in the middle!!!!

Oven Ribs

This was a great alternative to grilling when you want barbq and it's FREEZING cold outside!! In addition to the diet coke and ketchup, I skipped the ginger, and added some brown sugar, honey mustard, worcestershire sauce, and horseradish, along with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cajun seasonings! Wonderful dish!

BUSH'S® Southern Beef and Beans Casserole

Not a fan....the beans were way too overwhelming for the other taste. I followed the recipe exactly and was bummed out when my family didn't care for it after reading all the other positive reviews.

I have been making these for years, but I use a pound of italian sausage instead of ground beef and pork....much more flavor!

Awesome and easy fondue -- I added a little more garlic salt though for an extra punch! I served it with french bread and veggies....the bread went faster than the veggies!

I made this for a bridal shower and it was a HUGE hit!!! I will definitely make again! Although, I used Italian bread and had provolone cheese for an additional topping.

AWESOME recipe!!! My husband said he could eat this every day! We watch our carbs, so this was perfect for that! I used a little lemon juice and minced garlic instead of the paprika (not a fan), and this was tasty! You can experiment with any spices really!

A Fantastic Margarita

I made this over the summer for a barbq and everyone really liked it, for a change from the normal margarita. The only thing I would do differently would be to increase the Triple Sec and tequila. Definitely a hit though!
