About this Cook
I love to cook but recently had a baby and time just got more non-existant the older she gets. Especially being a working mom. I also have a new baby boy on the way. I have a loving and supportive husband that takes good care of us.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite kind of food it Cajun Seafood. I love any of the Louisana Dishes that you can dish at me. I am pretty good at the cooking thing, it is so versitile and you can be creative. I am not very good at the baking thing. To much math and exacts involved.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't have a lot of cooking traditions. I plan on that changing with my children. About the closest is Christmas and Thanksgiving we all have our favorite things to bring to the table.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest triumph is my Lasagna. I have worked many years on getting it right. I was determined one day and I happen to catch Tyler Florence on Food Network doing his Food 911 show on Lasagna (apparently I was not the only one that couldn't get it firm). I took notes and ever since I have got a perfect Lasgna just about every time. Everyone loves my Lasagna, I am so proud of it. It is easy to change aroung too now that I know what I am doing.
My cooking tragedies
I was about 11 or 12 and I wanted to make my Daddy a batch of peanut butter cookies. I did not have a recipe so I improvised. I will never do that again....lol. It was a total disaster. They were not even remotely edible.
