About this Cook
I love to cook. No one in my family loved to cook when I was younger, so I started cooking to find wonderful recipes I hope to pass on to my children one day.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook almost anything. I am not a big dessert person, so I usually don't make those. However, my children are getting older and are starting to help me cook, so I will now be making more desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't have any family traditions, that's why I started cooking. I hope to make some of my own.
My cooking triumphs
I don't really have one big triumph. But, the more I cook, the more confident I become. It has served me well because I now add my own spin on a recipe and I don't have to worry about it being terrible.
My cooking tragedies
I have messed up so many recipes before. Added too much cajun seasoning, opening the blender the wrong way, constantly stirring food in the slow cooker....

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
My kids and husband loved it. It was a nice change of dipping it into the oil instead of eggs. I will make this again.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas
This was a good basic recipe. I didn't have the salsa on hand but it tasted great anyways. I added some cumin and thyme for taste to the beans and corn. I dipped it into sour cream. I will make different variations of this recipe again.

Roasted Cajun Potatoes
These were great. I omitted all the seasonings and just used cajun seasoning adding up to the amount of seasoning stated in the recipe. It wasn't too spicy either. I will make these again.
