Caramelized Turnips

Didn't think I liked turnips very much, but I could eat these every day! Followed directions exactly and came out great! I think onions would add good flavor too.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

OMG! Cannot stop eating these! I took suggestions and used olive oil and doubled the recipe (but probably had less than 2 cups of seeds). Fantastic!

Creme Brulee

Great recipe for basic creme brulee, I followed Chefpeon's recommendations. I did not have enough individual ramekins, so I cooked mine in a larger dish and had to extend cooking time to 35 minutes. Delicious, I'd like to try addding different flavors next time.

Basil Goat Cheese Pizza

Love it! I used the Jiffy pizza crust mix since I like I crispier crust. I added some fresh garlic and tomatoes also. I will definitely make again, and probably will and some more basil and rosemary next time!!

My first time to make quinoa, it was easy and tasted great! I didn't have fresh thyme, used ground. I imagine it would taste even better with fresh herbs!

Homemade Egg Noodles

I have never made my own noodles before. Mine came out really tough. I added some water but I wasn't sure how much to add (added about 1/3 cup). Looks like maybe I should have added more. This seems like a recipe that you have to experiment with a few times before you get a good result.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Surprisingly easy and SO yummy! The only change I made was to sub splenda for the sugar. I made them into rolls and baked at 400 for twenty min. Will be making these a lot!

Curried Coconut Chicken

So yummy and it warms your tummy! I used light coconut milk to decrease calories. I also added some siracha hot sauce because I like my curry pretty spicy. It was easy and turned out great! For anyone on Weight Watchers: Using the light coconut milk and serving with a 1/2 cup of brown rice, this recipe is only 7pts per serving!

Pan de Muertos (Mexican Bread of the Dead)

The glaze on this bread is really good! I used anise extract because I am not too fond of the seeds, but I think I might have used too much. Be cautious if you use the extract. Other than that, I really enjoyed this bread, it is good with tea and coffee.
