Egg and Hash Brown Pie
Glad that you are enjoying my recipe. Thanks for all reviews! Some of you are right this is a basic recipe...as it was meant to be. BUT, it is a starting point as all recipes are for you to tweak to your own taste. We (my family) as I was growing up used this, adding many variations to it. My father loved spicy & hot -- so he used hot sausage and bacon/ adding 1 cup of diced each red peppers and green peppers that he lightly sauted first. We also served it with mushrooms, spinach, water chestnuts and also added lots of ham. Get creative -- make it to suit yourself and your family. Sometimes I just like it the basic recipe eating it with crousants or toast, OJ and some kind of fresh fruit..I hope you enjoy!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
This recipe reminds me of one my aunt used to make but refused to share. The first time I made it - it was very good but I remembered hers having some cornbread "croutons" in it.I cut the 1 1/2 cups of the wheat bread from the recipe, cooked white meal corn bread, sliced just the inside part into 1/2 inch cubes and toasted it with the bread. I added and extra 1/2 cup of white bread and a bit more chic broth, deleted the rosemary and added 1/2 tsp of poultry seasoning. Turned out great! My mom came to eat the second time and she swears that it is just like my aunts recipe! I kept the liver but pulverized it in the food processer so it came out like crumbs.

Egg and Sausage Casserole
I was having a brunch party for friends and family. Unknown to me, my son invited his friends over for a lunch/snack -- cresent rolled hotdogs and chili-cheese fries. Next morning I only had half of each cheese and no cresent rolls... with no time to run to store...I improvised. I used toast on the bottom for the cresent rolls and added 1/2 cup of heavy cream to the eggs and mixed. I also realised that I had bought the "spicy hot" sausage by mistake. Even with all the wrong things happening, this recipe turned out great! I roasted some small cherry tomatoes with a bit of olive oil and fresh basil and some of my guest were eating that on top of this. I gave this recipe out to several people.. good recipe!I look forward to making it with all the correct ingredients next time ;-)Thanks
