I grew up in a three generation household. I was third in line to use the kitchen. My grandmother had first dibs on cooking, then came my mother. Needless to say, I didn't get to cook often. Now that I'm married and have my own kitchen, I enjoy trying new recipes.

I love to bake. I also like to find new ways to cook boring foods - like chicken.

Cooking Thanksgiving dinner together.
My cooking triumphs
There are three! The first is having my husband's coworkers offer to PAY me to cook dinner for them. The second is when my sister-in-law told me that she was impressed with what a good cook I've become. The third was having my Apple Blackberry Bread win he May 2006 Kaiser Bakeware recipe contest.
My cooking tragedies
Leaving the bag with the "yucky" stuff in the turkey the first time I cooked one. Ewwww...
