Iced Pumpkin Cookies
I love this recipe - yummy cakey pumpkin cookies! 5 stars with one caveat - per other reviews - you need to add more spices than what is called for in the recipe. I think that one user substituted pumpkin spice - i added more spices and added some spice to the glaze as well. The first time I made this i used the butter called for in the glaze and it never set well enough for me. The second time I omitted the butter and it came out perfectly. This recipe has earned its place in my holiday cookie (or anytime cookie) collection

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf
I wasn't too thrilled with how this came out (not quite like meatloaves of the past)- but I'm pretty sure it was my "modifications", so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt (I don't think it's fair to rate a recipe that I intentionally modified)- and hopefully my mistake will be a future lesson for someone else: I used ground turkey and beef, thought that the turkey would end up too dry so I chopped up some bacon and added it to the mix (because hey - who doesn't like bacon?). I used dry seasoned bread crumbs - I saw another review that mentioned stuffing mix - might give that a go. This was my first slow cooker meatloaf and it cooked perfectly in the slow cooker. I didn't think that it was dry, but my husband thought that it was a touch dry. It reminded me a bit like canned corned beef (again, this is most likely my fault). Can't complain too much though - husband and I both went back for seconds. Will have to try this one another time.

Banana Banana Bread
I had some very ripe bananas in the kitchen and thought I'd give this a try. 4 large bananas didn't quite make it so substituted applesauce like some others did. Super sweet and moist. Unlike any other recipe I've tried - ended up almost like pound cake. I also added some cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves to add some spice to it. Maybe next time (because there WILL be a next time) I'll add some nuts. If you are a banana lover, this bread is for you! EDIT: I can't get enough of this bread!! Bananas don't ripen fast enough in my house!
