Italian Creme Layer cake
About this Cook
I love to cook! I really love to bake. Desserts are my specialty but I am a good at "regular" food too.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert, dessert, dessert! I like cooking mexican food alot. I like to cook stuff that has a lot of ingredients because people assume it was super difficult!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any traditions except that I am always the one who brings dessert! We do try to eat outside of the norm on holidays; not always turkey and ham on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
Making my first bread pudding! It was a request from my bro-in-law and it turned out perfectly! Also made gumbo one weekend and jambalaya the next and both were to die for. I guess making anything new that turns out is a triumph for me!
My cooking tragedies
Don't have any major tragedies that I can recall. Do sometimes have a problem with my chocolate cake falling in the middle and have been experiementing with things that I could be doing wrong.

Boudreaux's Zydeco Stomp Gumbo
Very good recipe! I use almost a full bottle of Guiness stout and that flavor is to die for! Love it!!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
Excellent pie! I use a chocolate crust for one pie and regular graham for the second one. I decorate the top of the pie with whipped topping and dark chocolate syrup. Delicious!!

Strawberry Cake from Scratch
This is my first scratch strawberry cake and it turned out great! I did seperate the eggs, add the yolks first and then whip the egg whites till stiff and fold them in at the end. The cake worked great for me. Thank you!
