Marinated Barbequed Vegetables

We made this recently but with a few changes. We added some red onion and fresh tiny asparagus. We also added 1 Tbs balamic vinegar to the marinade. It was tasty and a good use of some of our garden vegetables

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

So good and so easy. I used vegetable broth in place of the water, added extra carrots, a couple of cloves of crushed garlic, and a splash of red wine. I thickened the gravy with flour. I cooked this all day, about 5 hours on high and the last 5 hours on low.

This came out pretty good. It took quite some time to prepare. Although it was okay I doubt I will make it again. *update* This tasted so much better the next day, much more flavor. I think I will be making it again when I have the time

Chicken and Dumplings III

One of my all time favorite comfort foods. Preparing and eating this brought back memories of Grandma's kitchen! This recipes is great, just add in more veggies to your own liking. I always add a small amount of chives to my dumplings. Thanks for a great recipe...

Mike's Favorite Grilled Cheese

I have been making these for years. Grilled chesse is the best, right up there with peanut butter and jelly! A quick and easy lunch with a bowl of your favorite soup. Someone recently suggested I try spreading some mayo on the cheese, not bad at all! Try grilled ham and swiss on rye or grilled cheese with tomato.

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli

Very good with some changes. We have a large family so I doubled the broccoli and sausage and made almost 2 pounds of macaroni. I added more garlic, more olive oil, some butter, Italian spices. This is a good basic recipe that you can play around with to suit your own taste.

Hamburger Soup I

Mmmmm Mmmmm Good! I had two pounds of ground beef thawed so my soup came out pretty thick. I added a few cloves of garlic, italian seasoning, frozen green beans, and some Ragu sauce from a jar I had open in the fridge. It came out great, a good, healthy recipe you that can play around with. Thanks!!
