These were a special appetizer. Our friends had given us a box of delicious pears and we tried this appetizer when they came over for dinner. Great, different. We did add 4 tbls of cream cheese to the mixture and topped it with a sprinkling of chopped pecans. Excellent!

Stuffed Artichokes

We made these last night and they were great! Only thing we did differently is to squeeze 1/2 of a lemon after cleaning and snipping the tips. We'll definitely be making them again!

Roasted Chicken with Risotto and Caramelized Onions

I have to give this a 3 rating. Although it was very tasty with a creamy texture, we felt it really wasn't worth all the work. The only thing we did differently was to saute some mushrooms and add them. It was good and also a good use of leftover roast chicken.

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

A wonderful, delicious cake. My wife has made it 3 times within the past month -- for a girl's party (several asked for the recipe) and for us twice. Each time it seems better! We're at a high elevation, so we need to bake it a bit longer -- 10 minutes or so longer. It's become my favorite cake!!

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

This was excellent! We made it onight. The only thing we did differently is to add some sauteed mushrooms and feta cheese to the mix. It was just great! Thank you!

Portuguese Pork with Red Peppers

Wow! I loved this! The taste is great! We followed the recipe -- with the one exception of adding a spash of balsamic vinegar to the sauce. It was excellent. Next time we would increase the amount of the marinade by double. Terrific recipe.

Slow Cooker Spanish Roast

We loved it! We wanted pot roast, but a different type of pot roast. This was great! We added green pimento stuffed olives as well and they added alot of flavor. Served it with mashed potatoes and green beans. Delicious! It's a keeper!

Ham Salad II

This was great! We had leftover baked ham from a party, and this was a delicious sandwich. Followed the recipe exactly -- next time we would not add salt since ham is salty by itself. Loved it!

Warm Blackberry Cobbler

I'm sorry to be the first person to rate this recipe and have a negative rating, but we would not make this again. We did substitute sour cream for the yogurt and a whole egg for the egg whites, but the topping had no flavor. Sorry.

Greek-Style Stuffed Peppers

We just made this tonight. I have to give it only a 4 due to the peppers. If you would parboil them for 5 minutes, they would be a bit softer, which I think would add to the taste. Otherwise, it was a really good, different taste for stuffed peppers. We did add some sliced black olives on top, but I would add them into the mix next time. Thanks for this good recipe!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Excellent and easy, as the name says. We added some Hatch chilies; otherwise followed the recipe. It was terrific and we'll make it many more times.

Green Chile Stew with Pork

Easy Peach Cobbler

This was really good and very easy. The only thing we did differently, as other reviewers suggested, was, after adding the cinnamon in step 3, we crumbled together the cream cheese and cake mix and 1/2 of the butter and patted that on top. Melted the remainder of the butter and poured over.

Banana Split Cheesecake

This was a terrific dessert -- easy to make, much lighter than we expected, and it looks as delicious as it tastes! The only thing we changed was to cut the amount of confectioner's sugar in half. Everyone loved it!
