Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

I also added some milk to the meat balls , they were so good and tender. I did brown them a little first to get them sealed. I also added more spices to taste as I went on. As far as bitterness goes, add a little sugar, it is bitter from the tomato paste. My Grand daughter want's it for her 15th birthday next week. I am going to try some Italian sausage with the ground beef.

Caesar Salad Supreme

I also follow the recipe to a T, using real anchovies and making the croutons. The home made croutons are also a must. This is the best! In fact, I am making it for dinner today.

Peanut Butter, Mayonnaise, and Lettuce Sandwich

I am 65 and have been eating these since I was a kid. I still have them often and the addition of the lettace is good. I eat them when nothing else sounds good to me, it is a staple when I don't feel just right. MMM

Christmas Tree Cookies

This recipe has been in our family for years, 45 for my family and I don't know how far back it goes from there. Mother in Law, Grandma etc. We usually use vanilla but I am sure almond would be really good also. If you roll the dough super thin (that is the way we like them but watch the baking time) they will be crisp. If you roll them thicker they will be puffy and soft. I think they were meant to be thin. (about 1/4 inch. Please try. Worth the effort to get them right.

Ham Bone Soup

What a nice change from bean or pea soup for the left over ham bone. Here are my very slight changes. I used 2 cans of chicken broth then water to make 4 cups. Usrf red beans instead of kidney and added some carrots and celery. we really liked it. I am sure the recipe with out changes will be equaly as good, thanks for submiting. sklynstra

Easiest Egg Nog

This is the same recipe my Mom alwaysed used and it bring back such good memories. (I am 64) When I bought the kind in the carton I cut it with milk because I am so used to Mom's. I came on line to find just this recipe. I think this is how egg nog is supposed to taste, although I am sure Mom used whole milk back then brought from the milk man who came every other day to put bottles in the box on the front porch. They always added whiskey or brandy to it for themselfs with just a sip for us. Hope you like it, I am going to go make some right now and put a little brandy in it to drink while I cut out my cut out cookies from the recipe from my mother in law which are the best and I will post.

I have been making these for a long time. There are only two of us and always have hot dog or hamburger bun getting stale. I also put some parm. cheese on the top before toasting.

Kim's Chicken Alfredo

I am sorry, but we did not like this at all. We ate a little and threw the rest out. For the time it took, I could have made the wonderfull "Cajun Seafood Pasta" recipe. Maybe because it had soup in it and we are not a big fan of recipes with soup mixes and canned. More into all fresh ingredients. Will not be making again.

Egg Drop Soup II

Sloppy Joes II
