About this Cook
I'm a stay-at-home mom who's slowly had to teach myself how to cook well through trial and error since getting married 8 years ago. My poor family have had to be my guinea pigs, but now that I'm getting better, I think they don't mind at all :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake breads and cookies and like to try cooking new things for the challenge.
My cooking tragedies
Right when I first got married, I was making mashed potatoes and took a nap while they were boiling. My husband and I woke up to the smell of burnt potatoes. There was nothing left of them in the bottom of the pan but tiny black mounds...

Blackened Chicken
Way too spicey. Too much red pepper for only two breasts. And definitely not enough cooking time, so while I was prepping for 10 minutes in the oven and had all the other food ready to go, it actually took about 22 minutes, and the rest of my food got cold. Please be accurate in listing the time for busy moms who have hungry babies waiting for their dinner. :) (Not that they ate it anyway...way too spicey for the little ones.)

Chicken Enchiladas I
This is now a family favorite! I never add the water, however, and it's pretty soupy even without it...We also leave out the bell peppers, but that's just a personal preference. Thanks for the great recipe.

Best Ever Pie Crust
Wonderful crust! I use this all the time for chicken pot pie as well as during the holidays for pumpkin pie and banana cream pie! YUM!!!
