Easy Arugula Salad

This is very good and I will definitely make again. I love arugula and the combination of everything in this salad is perfect. I used toasted almond slivers instead of pine nuts (although I do LOVE pine nuts, just didn't have any). Parmasan I grated in shavings. Made a bit of extra dressing. Avocado really made it. Thanks!

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

This was very good and hit the spot. I was lazy and used canned tomatoes. I also added fresh basil and celery. I pureed about 3/4 of the mixture so there were some chunks in there.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

This was good but not the restaurant-style I was looking for. I was looking for something a little "meltier" - Just noted from reviews I shoul have used Alfredo sauce from the refridgerated section. That may have made the difference. Thanks for the recipe. :)

Baby BLT

These were Okay. I used mayo and sour cream as suggested by others as well as sprinkling with salt and draining. The small side of a melon baller definitely made it easier. The parmesan cheese definitely helped.

Shrimp Quiche

This was really good! Didn't have canned shrimp so I cut up and sauted some frozen shrimp I had. Loved the sour cream and will add this to other quiche recipes I have. Thanks!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

I really wanted to love this after reading all of the reviews! But, alas, I did not. I think the trick, as mentioned in a previous review, is to use BURGUNDY wine - we just used a good red wine. I wish we would have saved the wine for drinking ;)

Quiche Lorraine I

This was very good. I used just short of 2 cups of Half and Half and the texture was perfect. I also made crustless (I know, that takes all the fun out of it). :) I also added sauted mushrooms and onion and a little more than 1 cup of Swiss cheese. Will definitely keep this recipe. Thanks!

Burrito Pie

This is very good. Didn't have any Colby cheese so I used some mexican cheese and cheddar. I used taco seasoning, a can of diced tomatoes and a small can of green chilis for the meat misture. As suggested by another user, I simmered the meat mixture for about 30 minutes. Sour cream is a definite needed addition upon serving. :) Thanks for the recipe! I'll definitely make it again.

Calamari

Hi, Thank you for the recipe. I wasn’t totally impressed. I did take the previous suggestions and added powdered garlic and cut down on the salt. The problem I had was with them browning at all. I pulled the first few out after a couple of minutes and they tasted like flour. I had the oil very high, they were completely covered with oil and they were frying vigorously. I added more time to cooking them (like 5 minutes) and they were better.

Linguine Pasta with Shrimp and Tomatoes

Made this tonight. It seemed too simple to be so good! I followed the recipe pretty much but didn't cook the shrimp separate - I added it to the heated up sauce when the noodles were almost done. I also added a lot of parm cheese.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

I actually served it cold and it went over so well at a party recently! I missed the part about serving with bread so I used Club and Ritz crackers. Because of its success and the fact that it's very easy to make, I'm making it again for another party this coming weekend.

Gazpacho Pasta Salad

This was very good. I included a package of cheese tortellini, cilantro and grated parmesan. I replaced the tomato juice with spicy V8. It had a great flavor and was very pretty.
