I am a baker at heart, but want to branch out.
About seven months ago I decided to try the VB6 (Vegan Before 6 pm) diet http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103323943&sc=fb&cc=fp and it is going well. The idea is to abstain from consuming animal products for breakfast and lunch.
I have really enjoyed eating and cooking vegan dishes, and probably only eat animal products three times a week (instead of the seven allotted by VB6). I am always looking for a yummy new vegan recipe.

Some of my favorite memories from growing up occurred on Saturday mornings, sitting in the kitchen while listening to Motown as my dad made breakfast. He worked late during the week, so weekends were the only time he really got to cook for us. I still prefer a biscuit or muffin that he has made to any other.
