Joe Bill and Me
About this Cook
Actually I was raised in feedlots up in the panhandle of Texas. I worked riding pens and on the branding crew. I have grown up with cattle all my life. I have lived on large ranches most of my life anywhere from 17,000 to 23,000 acres. I learned a lot from cooking for cowboys.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake fruit pies! I also make homemade breads. Being in the south we all tend to make up Tex-Mex dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking traditions would be fried deer meat and gravy with mashed potatos and green bean, heavy on the "real" butter and bacon! Lots of deserts and sweet ice tea.
My cooking triumphs
I entered a pecan pie contest and won third place.
My cooking tragedies
Maybe burned something here and there. Been years since I had any tragedies.
