My Husband loved this dip and has requested that I make it a few times (he never gets excited about food). I made as written - only using green onion instead of white - he call's it the BLT dip. yummmmm

Country Potato Pancakes

So easy and came out great!!! I served them with smothered pork chops and apple sauce and my 5 year keeps thanking me for the delicious dinner. Will definately make again. I added a little bit more salt and flour, but I also used about 8 small potatoes.

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

Loved how this pie came out! I used a fresh sugar pumpkin to make the pie by cutting the pumpkin into cube and peeling then boiled till tender and pureed in blender. I also followed some of the review suggestions; doubled vanilla, substituted 1/3 of the sugar with brown sugar, added extra cinnamon and a pinch of all spice. This is definately the best pie I've ever made or tasted! Thanks.

Old Time Soft Sugar Cookies

I made these cookies in an attempt to use up some leftover buttermilk and I was very suprised how much my kids, ages 5 and 11 LOVE THEM!(Husband too!) They are grabbing for them more than they would chocolate chip cookies, they bake into little fluffy cakes, very simple. I substituted butter for the shortening and I also drizzled with powdered sugar icing and some colored sugar just to dress them up a little. I will be making these again for sure.

The Best Chocolate Cake You Ever Ate

I AGREE!!! I had given up on making cakes homemade (box versions always seem to come out better for me) but this cake was so delicious!! My husband loved it and it was very easy to make. I tried to cut it in half and layer it so I could fit it in my cake dish so it looked a little messy but the frosting I put in the middle of the two layers melted into the cake and it was delicious, definately the best chocolate cake ever!!
