Herbed Twice-Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
These were "good", not amazing. I made them the day before Christmas, refrigerated them overnight and then baked them for Christmas dinner. I would add a dash of garlic salt to bring out the flavors a bit more.

Cheesy Creamed Spinach

The flavor was very good, but I was looking for something a bit more creamy as opposed to cheesy.

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

This was a good recipe. Next time I will add more garlic powder, worcestershire, hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning and hopefully that will improve it to 4/5 stars.

good recipe if you like a sweet sauce. I think this sauce would be better with salmon.

Delicious! This is best Sangria recipe I have found. It definitely needs to sit overnight for best flavor.

Cheese-Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
Made these for a dinner party lat night and they received rave reviews! I used jalapenos grown from my garden, so they were larger than the ones you would find in the grocery store. As MANY others had recommended, I did NOT boil the peppers. I cut them in half, removed all seeds and white rib, stuffed 'em and baked 'em. Due to the size of the peppers and the fact they were raw, I had to increase the baking time to 12-14 minutes. I will definately make these again!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
Very good, my husband licked the plate clean! Next time i will use freshly grated parmesan & romano, possibly that will improve the texture. I found no need for salt, the cheeses provided enough flavor...you can always add it at the end if needed. Tempered the egg yolk before adding to the saucepan as others suggested. Added garlic wile melting the butter and garnished with fresh parsley.

Original Blue Cheese Coleslaw

This is my husband's favorite! I always make this when having the Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken from this same website. We like to put the slaw on top of the sanwich...yummy!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
If you like Buffalo sauce then this is the recipe for you! It was very spicy as expected. I added an additional tablespoon of butter. I served this with Blue Cheese Cole Slaw on top of the sandwich and the slaw was the perfect balance for the spiciness of the chicken. I found there was no need to add extra sauce on the sandwich.

Zesty Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
This slaw was excellent and easy to make. Definately make it the night before to allow the slaw to marinate. Be prepared, the slaw will shrink by about a 1/4 in size. There is no need to buy store bought cole slaw any more!

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
Made this for "Poker Sunday" and served 5 guys. They loved it & gave it rave reviews! It is a perfect basic recipe and you can tweak it as you wish, but it is perfect as is. Since my husband doesn't like beans, I left them out and it was still great! I always like to add extra seasonings so I incresed the garlic, added cumin, paprika & sauteed the ground serloin w/ 1/2 of the onion & some garlic before adding it to the crock pot. Just like the other readers said...it makes the house smell soooo good! When placed in individual bowls, top w/ a dollop of sour cream in addition to the cheddar for an extra special treat. I will definately make this again.

Tequila Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This stuff is awesome! I made it for a New Year's Eve party and everyone loved it! For those of you that may be turned off by the tequila, don't be. It just adds a wonderful flavor, it doesn't make the cocktail sauce taste like tequila. Just to clarify something on the chili sauce...it's not mexican chili sauce, it's not asian chili sauce, you should be using the tomato based chili sauce that can be found next to the ketchup in the grocery store. Great recipe!

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
If you like sweet, creamy deviled eggs, then these are the ones for you! I would not recommend leaving out the salt, as others have done, unless you want the mixture to be "really" sweet. Salt, especially Sea Salt, gives a nice balance to the sugar. This recipe welcomes sweet pickle relish as an added kick. I will try another recipe that does not call for sugar as a comparison.

Apple Orchard Punch

This punch doesn't look very appetizing, (it turns brown when you add the orange juice), but it tastes great. It is perfect for any function you would hold during the fall season.

Turkey Soup with Slickers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2007
This soup was wonderful for using up the Thanksgiving turkey carcass! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the slickers. I don't care for them, so I used a bag of egg noodles instead. I would suggest buying an extra container chicken broth. I needed to add some b/c the noodles soaked up alot of the broth. This was my first time making soup & it came out amazing with a wonderful home made flavor!
