I absolutely love to cook. I own a gourmet dog treat business, and my pumpkin roll is famous in three states!

My favorite family cooking traditions
We used to get together for holidays and family reunions, but all that has stopped since my Dad passed away. My Mom would make LOTS of pies and TONS of food. I can now copy her potato salad exactly, and I strive to one day come close to making her biscuits.
My cooking triumphs
I taught myself how to make very good cream puffs, sauces, and breads. My dry rub ain't too bad, either!
My cooking tragedies
For some reason, I couldn't make decent gravy for YEARS. I used to burn any kind of bread that I was toasting in the oven because I would get side tracked. Recently, I forgot to separate my eggs for a Key Lime pie and used whites and all. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great, either.
