Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
this was very tasty and very light. The only thing I did differently was to brown on all sides in my cast iron on stove and transfer to oven in the same skillet. I did not have fresh rosemary so substituted dried. It turned out really nice.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
This was really good, however, I think you could do without either the milk or the buttermilk. I did use the packaged slaw because that's what I had but there just seemed to a little too much liquid that settled at the bottom after it sat for a bit. The flavor was great and I would def make again.

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
This turned out wonderful. Started off on the stove simmering for a couple of hours then transferred to my crock pot on high for an additional 4 hours. I did use pickling spice, as my corned beef did not come with seasoning packets. Pickling spice includes chopped bay leaf, so did not add bay leaves. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful. Highly reccommend

Penne a la Vodka II

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
I have made this several times. The base sauce is wonderful however, I do add mushrooms, asparagus, chicken and just regular bacon. Sprinkle of parmesan on top. Very easy and always a hit.I don't like penne so I use spaghetti instead.

Garbage Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I have renamed this. Macho Men Only quiche. This was very good. The only thing I changed was I used fresh aspargus instead of broccoli and added fresh mushrooms which I sauteed in a tiny bit of bacon grease. I also made my own pastry. Highly reccommend this recipe.

Aussie Chicken

This is divine. I have made it a few times and nothing but rave reviews. The only thing is that I too, cut the sauce back by half. U really don't need it. Excellent recipe.

Asparagus Chicken Crepes

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
Not only did i substitute 2% milk in error, it wasn't obviously whipped since i failed to see that in the directions. I usually follow a new recipe exactly but even though I didn't, and thought I was, this was excellent.

Teriyaki Flank Steak

Absolutely divine! Had lots of steak left over so applied the beef to a beef and broccoli szchechan (sp) dish the next evening. This is a keeper. Thank you!

Cheesy Sweet and Savory Spuds

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
I have made this several times both with and without the cheese. It is excellent both ways. The mixture of sweet and white potatoe is both colorful and tasty. I used yellow flesh potatoes because that is all I had on hand. Very good recipe. Thank You

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
If a could give this 10 stars, i would. I used chicken breast cutlets (split breasts to make for thinner breasts) but everything else, followed exactly. I had to buy a 26oz of bourbon to make this recipe, as no smaller bottles. I have been looking for recipes since then, that have bourbon in them. This was really, really good and I would definitely make this again and again. A very impressive and delectable dish.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
I'm sorry. This did not turn out the way I would have hoped. The picture shows dark sauce. My sauce was the color of dijon and the chicken was dry. Maybe I did something wrong. Would not make again.

Tasty Tender Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This was delicious. And I just realized prior to rating it, that I forgot the 1st step. The dusting with flour and browning part. Will do this the next time but regardless, it turned out great. I have seen an identical recipe with chicken breasts. I also used the chilled russian dressing from this site.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This was really good considering how easy it was to prepare. I don't make meatloaf often and when I do, it's usually pretty boring. I did not add steak sauce but a little worcestire instead. That's the only change I made. Very good.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
This was yummy. I followed recipe exactly with the exception of a splash of vanilla and a couple of shakes of cinnamon. I used a 28oz can of peaches because that's all I had on hand. The topping was crunchy good and I served it with ice cream. Very easy to prepare and endless possibilities when it comes to the type of fruit.

Used this recipe to go with Fruit Pizza 2 recipe from this site, as I could not find refrigerated sugar cookie dough for the crust. This worked wonderful. Try the fruit pizza and use this as your crust. You won't be disappointed!

Fruit Pizza II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
Wow. If I could give this more stars, I would. Could not find refrigerated sugar cookie dough so found an easy recipe on this site for the dough. Cracked Sugar Cookies 1. Easy and worked divinely. Probably added a little more than 8oz of whipped topping. Added blueberries for color and ripe plums for a great selection of fruit. Canned manderins I think are better than fresh. They look prettier. This was so much fun to decorate and tasted absolutely fantastic. I really impressed myself as I am not a baker!!

Blueberry French Toast

This was a big hit. I would make again but next time, I think I would omit the cream cheese. I don't think it is necessary. It is alreay pretty rich. The sauce would be great on ice cream or pancakes.
