I'm a 44 year old who's in the United States Coast Guard. I'm a Foodservice Specialist First Class/E-6. I've been in the service for twenty years. I plan on retiring in September. I'm originally from Louisville, KY. I now live in Newport, RI.

I have various things I like to cook. Anything from making New England clam chowder, to Breaded stuffed lobster tails, to BBQ Baby back ribs. I also have people rave about my homemade dinner rolls.

I like the traditions of Thanksgiving. The turkey, stuffing, and the works.

Doing two Change of Command Ceremonies all by myself.
My cooking tragedies
This happened in 1997. I was making Chicken Fajitas, and the meat we usually get from the vendor is marinated and pre-cooked. For some reason, the last batch they (the vendors) sent us was marinated but not cooked. So, thinking the meat was already cooked, I put the chicken in the oven to heat up instead of to cook.
