My little cutie
About this Cook
I'm a first time mom to my son Mick, born in October 2005. I've been married since June of 2000 and that's when I first started cooking. I had NO experience prior to that except a Home Ec. class I took in Jr. High.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE cheesey Italian dishes. I know they are loaded with fat, but whatever. That's why I have to work out 6 days a week. I don't eat pork or fish, just mainly chicken and beef. I love vegetables too. My husband hates vegetables so I don't get to cook with them too often.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family really doesn't have any cooking traditions. My mom always cooks really healthy.
My cooking triumphs
I've been a full time mom since having my son. This has given me more time to concentrate on my cooking. It's nice to be able to think out my meals instead of coming home from work and throwing a pizza in the oven.
My cooking tragedies
Oh my gosh. I tried this recipe that was a steak wrapped in bacon and stuffed with breadcrumbs (yes, it's an All Recipes recipe) and it was a disaster. It took me hours to finally finish this dish. My kitchen was a HUGE mess and all that cooking fogged up EVERY window in the house. My curtians, couches, clothes, all smelled like stinky bacon steak. By the time dinner was served I was so grossed out by the whole ordeal I couldn't eat. My husband loved the dish.

Easy Quiche
This was very good! It was easy to make! I made this on Christmas morning, added fresh baked ham from the night before, bacon, red and green pepper, and onion (I omitted the broccoli). This is our new Christmas morning "special" breakfast!!

Chicken Pepperoncini
Yummy!! I followed someone else's suggestion and served this over bow tie pasta (added butter, garlic salt and Asiago cheese to the pasta). I also added 2 minced garlic cloves to the onions when I cooked them. Upon serving, I sprinkled more Asiago over the chicken and splashed with a bit of balsamic. This was very good and flavorful!

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots
This is REALLLLLLY good. I'm in love with the sauce. I make the sauce quite often to put on everything from potatoes to meatloaf to every cut of beef out there.
