Awesome recipe---I omit the nuts because so many people have allergies. I also don't use the chocolate pieces in the frosting. I use it just between the layers and then decorate the top with chocolate curls. I have also used different flavor of cake mixes. I do add an instant pudding, a little milk and reduce the sugar in the frosting. Everyone raves about this cake.

Made 2 of these this weekend. One for home & one to bring to work. This is absolutely delicious. I did one exactly as the recipe stated & another with pineapple cake mix & cream of coconut pudding. Both were excellent.

This is delicious. I made a few changes. 1. added grated orange peel to cake mix 2. instead of just water I put in about 1/2 c or orange juice in cake mix 3. I drained some of the liquid from crushed pineapple--this made for a stiffer frosting. This is yummmmmmmmy
