I am a wife and mother---I have 4 children some are step and some are natural I love them all the same--My husband loves to cook as well---So I don't have to be in the kitchen all the time---So when it's my turn---I like to make comfort foods like chicken & dumplings-- and fun foods like tacos and sloppy Jo's from scratch- Eggplant Parmesan--Zucchini bread--And I love to try new recipes-- When I grew up---Every Thanksgiving was turkey and ham and the works---never really changed---Mom would make a different style of sweet potatoes or dressing recipe to change things up a bit---over the years I have kind of gotten away from that---I like to change things up a bit---one year we had chili and one year it was Mexican---then the next traditional---Never gets boring--- one of my favorites is fried eggplant strips with a smokey dipping sauce--The family sucked it right up and begged for more! When I was in my early twenty's I wanted to grill chicken--didn't have a clue how to cook it on the grill---My momma and daddy talked about that nasty chicken for years after that---
