This is absolutely delish! My husband and kids loved it. I can't wait to make it for the next potluck. I took some advice from other reviewers and only used 1 clove of garlic and I thought that was plenty. I also used less salt and only 1 Tbs. of oil. Since we like heat I added extra jalapenos. I didn't have an avocado but this was great even without... though I am anxious to try this with the avocado. Thanks for a great recipe!

WOW! This lasagna is absolutely delicious. I made it for company and everyone raved. It is even better the next day reheated! I have to admit to making one change though I normally wouldn't have...I had a guest who doesn't eat beef so I substituted ground pork and it was still wonderful. This is worth the time and effort and I will make again and again!

This turned out really runny. Not enough crab meat. Also needed a lot of doctoring up. I added old bay, more garlic a little lemon juice and parmesan cheese. Also sliced scallions to add some color. But what it really needed was a couple more cans of crab meat...which I didn't have at the time. Will try again with more crab and more seasoning.

This was pretty good. I do prefer my chowder much thicker and this turned out more like soup. Will use more flour next time. I need to keep looking for a good brand of canned clams. Tried two so far and neither was very good. Hubby loved this, but agreed it should be thicker.

The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because my husband and kids ate it. Personally, it didn't do much for me. I really think it was the process cheese flavor which I am not a huge fan of. I even used less as other reviewers suggested. I will make again because the family eats it and it is easy, but am going to try using some shredded cheddar in place of the process cheese and maybe peas/corn/green bean blend instead of the Califonia blend veggies. I also cooked it in the oven instead of the crock.

This was very good except for the ratio of sausage to milk gravy was way off to my taste and my families. I doubled the milk/flour and I think next time I will triple it or halve the sausage. Also, less flour as it turned out more like pudding than gravy. Also needs a little more pepper as I like sausage gravy pepper-y. Good basic recipe to modify to suit your tastes.

Yummy! The whole family loved this and it was so easy. Like some other reviewers, I broiled some split hoagie type rolls first, after that I added the beef, topped off with some swiss cheese and back in the broiler a minute to melt the cheese. This is going to be a regular at our house!

This was very delicious. I followed other reviews suggestions to poach the chicken breast and shred them rather than cubing them. Definitely worth the extra effort..YUM..love shredded chicken. This receipe has a very generous amount of chicken in it and could make do with less. In fact I didn't put all I had in. The seasonings were just a touch to heavy for my taste and probably would use a little less next time...cumin is a very potent flavor. I substituted dried cilantro as I didn't have fresh and was surprised to find it tasted pretty good. Fresh cilantro would be better, though. I would add something to give it a little heat next time as we like spicy foods.

This was pretty good. I am a sucker for anything with bacon in it! I think the key to making it fabulous would be to use yummy garden fresh tomatoes rather than those hard tasteless ones that you find so often at the grocery. I served with slices of baguette bread and everyone at it up despite the mediocre tomatoes. Will try again with good tomatoes this summer.

This was pretty good, and very easy to put together. But it seemed to be missing something. Am going to play with seasongs a bit. But even so I would make it again as it is a great healthy and filling meal on a chilly winter day!

Apparently I goofed this up. It just didn't go over well at all. I had a dinner guest who does not eat pork. So, I tried turkey bacon and I thought it tasted awful and will never use turkey bacon again. I also used shredded hash browns instead of cubed fresh potatoes and maybe shouldn't have taken that short cut. I expected a creamier texture, but seemed dry. Based on all the rave reviews I am going to give it another try.

This was pretty good and easy. Kids wouldn't eat it - but they never eat fish. I felt like something was missing and maybe will play with it a bit. Hubby suggested cayenne pepper which sounds like a good way to add a kick. I need to find a better canned salmon. The one I got had bones and skin and I hate picking through it. I had some fresh canned salmon from Alaska once that was all meat and soooo good. Anybody know what brand/type salmon to buy to get it boneless? Overall this is very good recipe and a great way to get more salmon in the diet.

I was looking for a simple white gravy and this is it. I followed one reviewers advice to use butter instead of oil. It turned out really yummy. Kids and hubby ate it up! I can't imagine it with plain oil. I didn't brown the butter as I wanted a white gravy. It is important to cook the fat/flour (roux) mixture for a couple minutes before adding the milk. I noted other reviewers complained of it tasting floury and that would be from not cooking the roux long enough. This would also be good to add crumbled bacon and drippings or sausage and serving wih biscuits. Thanks for the recipe!

Yummy...go, grandma! This is pure comfort food. I followed the recipe almost exactly. I did whisk 2 tablespoons of flour into the half and half before I added it to the chowder as I like it a bit thicker and I didn't heat it first, just mixed it in and let it heat to almost boiling. I also followed other reviewers suggestions to use chicken broth instead of water. This is a keeper and will use again and again!

This candy is so wonderful. Everyone begs for it and wants the recipe. Nobody can believe how simple it is with just 4 ingredients. I make 2 batches at Christmas and can't keep it around. For those of you who have had trouble, you must use a candy thermometer and make sure it is a good one. Take it off the range immediately at 310 or it will taste burnt. I put all the almonds in the toffee mixture (none on top - just my personal preferance) right when I take it off the heat, stir quickly and pour over the milk chocolate. Never failed! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Review update - after making many batches of this wonderful bread, I finally think I figured out where the "dry" reviews are coming from. The bananas I used before were quite large. The bananas this time were not as big and I only had the 3. The batter turned out much stiffer than usual and I got a very dry loaf. So use BIG bananas, or add extra if you have smaller bananas. I guess a cup amount would be more accurate.

Delicious! I cooked this using the convection option on the oven. It was very juicy and tasty. Even the kids loved it. I didn't have the wine so didn't do that part but will try next time.

I get requests all the time to bring this dish for holidays, etc. I had to double it so everyone could get enough. Some reviews say it is bland...well it is a cream cheese/white sauce. I do add some garlic salt to the sauce. Good stuff!
