This recipie needs to be doubled to have two layers. (in a 9 X 13 pan) I had to do one layer with the sweet topping. It was very tasty but I was disappointed that I didnt' have the two layers with the sweet middle and top.

This recipie was awesome!~ I just received a waffle maker and the family loved it. I used the milk/vinegar trick as I do not have buttermilk on hand either. Once the steam slows down, my waffles were ready. If I had waited until the steam was not coming out...they would have been burnt to a crisp! Be sure to spray your waffle iron prior to cooking! Yum Yum
