About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Though I claim to hate making candy, I secretly love making candy. I also love baking in general. My favorite entree to cook is lasagna. Yum!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking bundt cakes. I've helped my mom bake since I was five. =D
My cooking triumphs
Truffles. Definitely the truffles. It was my first time making candy and they turned out so beautifully. My friends were all really impressed and that's when I realized that I might want to think about opening up a pastry shop later on in my life.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I baked cookies from scratch was a DISASTER. I left the cookies in for the suggested amount of time, but I put 2 cookie sheets on one rack, causing the cookie sheets to not have enough air circulation. Therefore, after 8 minutes, all my cookies ended up pretty burnt. After that fiasco though, my cookies have always turned out beautifully.

Sarah's Applesauce
Absolutely delicious! I had a sudden craving for applesauce, and this totally hit the spot. I've already made this recipe twice and it tastes wonderful every time. Just don't forget to add the cinnamon! I almost forgot the second time I made it and it didn't taste as good.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy
WOW. I was so surprised at how easy this was. I didn't even use a candy thermometer and it came out perfectly. I was a little scared when I saw how easy it was. I've never made candy before so I was pretty afraid I was gonna mess it up, especially since I don't have a candy thermometer. I just followed the recipe exactly, and followed some tips from some reviewers (like wait till the mixture turns a little darker than peanut butter) and it turned out PERFECTLY. And it tastes so good! I thought it tastes exactly like the candy that comes in thee See's Candy bars. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely make it again.

Easy Decadent Truffles
It was my first time making truffles, and I decided to take a chance with this recipe since so many people liked it. My end result was a pretty good one! The taste is pretty good, though the cream cheese makes it kinda cheesecakey flavored. I made plain (with just vanilla), mint, and peanut butter truffles and rolled some in a cocoa mix, red sugar, and peanuts. The rest I dipped with milk chocolate and white chocolate. This recipe is fairly easy, and I will probably do it again if my friends like the truffles.
