I'm 44 years old, mom of a 14-year-old daughter, owner of a small landscaping business. I was a journalist in my 20s, but traded the stress and confines of an office for the relative freedom of self-employment and working in the wonderful New Mexico outdoors. There are many, but these top the list: Fettucini alfredo; my very own savory pot roast; posole (a New Mexico tradition); green chile; eggplant parmesan; tzatziki; summer salads; deviled eggs; steaks on the grill....and on and on. Making Christmas cookies and julglogg (Scandanavian Christmas wine). Just getting together with family in the summer in Colorado and whipping up big dinners with lots of New Mexican foods, including homemade tortillas, green chile, red chile, beans, etc. Making a buche de noel one Christmas that turned out picture-perfect. Making Thanksgiving dinner last year, for the first time ever, and it was excellent. Nothing major, lots of little disasters here and there.
