I mix up a large amount of this and leave it on my stove to toss in a lot of different foods. Thanks so much for the great recipe!!!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I did this recipe as written with only two exceptions and really it was a time thing. I didn't melt the butter, I softened it and I refrigerated the dough before I baked them. There was really no real reason for doing those two steps other then I pulled the butter out of the fridge early and then made the dough and didn't have time to bake them then. I love these cookies. They were soft and delicious. I think the key is taking them out of the oven when they are just brown around the edges like the recipe says. I will defiantly be making these again.

Velvety Pumpkin Soup With Blue Cheese and Bacon

half and half is a mixture of half milk and half cream. It has 10-12% milkfat and cannot be whipped. In the UK I believe it is called half cream.

Crescent Chicken Bundles

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
Not a bad basic recipe but I did have to spruce it up a bit. I added sour cream, garlic power, parmesan cheese and some over spices. There was still something missing though. As I did use canned turkey instead of chicken, I think if I make this again I am going to add some cranberries to it. Or maybe have some raspberry jam on the side. It was good just not quite there for me. ~~~~~~ The next day... These were even better cold the next day. yum. Wonderful basic recipe.

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
These were the perfect cookies to make. I was a little worried because my dough was a little crumbly but the cookies came out perfect. The only thing I did different was the salt. Couldn't see the point of it and didn't need it. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
I had to give it 4 stars because I did have to alter it. But all in all this is a great marinade. I have baked my chicken and also BBQ with it. Basically I triple the recipe and use 1/2 cup less soy sauce. I make up the sauce pour 1/3 to 1/2 in a dish to baste the chicken (depending on the ammount of chicken) and use the rest over rice and veggies. What a great meal.

This is a great idea. I added a few things to this recipe to make it my own. I used onion soup mix instead of an onion, added kidney beans, Salsa instead of diced tomatoes. Thanks for a great recipe.

This is typically how I make them however in college I tried them once with American Cheese and sour dough bread. That is now my favorite. Great with tomato soup or Pacific's Roasted Red Bell Pepper and Tomato Soup. I love comfort food.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This was a great basic recipe and exactly what I was looking for. I will say I did make a few sight changes more because of what I had instead of for taste. I did just the recipe said until the adding the cheese. Before I added it I strained out some of the broccoli and onions and pureed them in the blender. Leaving a few of the broccoli whole. When adding the cheese I added an extra cup and a half of cheddar. The rest was all the same. Oh and instead of garlic powder I added garlic to my onions.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I love the basic recipe. But a good twist is to cook it a little longer add onion and green peppers and make it into sandwiches. At about 8 hours I broke up the chicken and let it cook a few hours longer. It was moist and wonderful. Thanks so much for a great recipe.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
I kept the ingredients the same but only changed one thing. Instead of shredded chicken I did frozen chicken breasts and shredded them about 30 minutes before serving. Also the tortillas burned so I would just store bought chips or fry them instead. But I love this recipe and will make it again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Yes this roast is easy but it lacks flavor. I did it exactly as written. There was nothing special about it. What a waist of a good beef roast. I don't get where anyone would think this was "Awesome."

Bacon Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2006
This recipe was ok but I did change a few things because I was out of items. I kept the bacon drippings and used that instead of the olive oil. I added the garlic and pepper to the bacon while it was frying to give the grease more flavor. I also added some dried basil. I am thinking about adding some mushrooms and onion next time. All in all this is a good basic recipe. My Fiance loved it.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
I love this recipe. It was nice and spicy yet still a bit mild in the middle. I used Pico Pica for the hot sauce because it is not vinegar based and has a good spicy flavor without over doing it. I also used canned green chilies. I don't feel that skipping step one is to bad of a thing. Yes cut off the fat but browning just seemed to take up to much time. (I'm a bit lazy about that).
