This is delicious and super simple! I didn't have anise so I used almond extract and added some slivered almonds. Delicious!

Hmmm, I am an experienced baker and I have made this cake in years past, but this did not turn out for me. The cake was very thin and ripped and could not be used. Not sure what I did wrong - I followed the recipe exactly.

Glazed Lemon Bundt Cake

This cake did not turn out very well for me. I would have liked it to be softer and moister. I added a lot of lemon juice to the batter, poured the glaze into the bottom of th cake (poked holes first) and made a frosting glaze for the top and it still didn't turn out good enough to bring to the event I had made it for.

Easy OREO Truffles

Awesome! Much easier to do when I just throw the cream cheese into the food processor with the oreo crumbs. I also used melted semisweet chocolate and oil for the ganache topping.

What a cute idea - I love stuff like this. It turned out great and I had no problems. I only needed two packs of breadsticks, though, and didn't cook the full 45 minutes.

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

Delicious! I have to say I didn't follow the recipe totally, though. I only had dark corn syrup, and I only used 3/4 cups. I used chocolate chips instead of cocoa and I used a LOT. I had to cook it longer than stated, but it was delicious! This pie has a lot of sugar/corn syrup in proportion to the amount of pecans, though!

Classic Texas Caviar

Oh my gosh. This is soooo good! I used canned black beans instead of black-eyed, fresh tomatoes, and I added a lot of corn. It was delicious! I made 1/2 batch and it was gone within the hour. Very healthy too. This will be a regular item at our house.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Mmmm, this is great! Just like the one we had at a restaurant recently. I souped up the sauce a bit with worcestire sauce and some London Pub Steak & Chop Sauce. I also poured some of the London sauce on top. I had to cook the carrots longer than stated to make them soft enough to mush. It was delicious this way!

Sensational Strawberry Shortcake

I really liked this. It makes a neat presentation. The meringue on top adds a nice touch too. The cake itself was a bit crumbly, but I don't mind that with strawberry shortcake. I will definitely make it again!
