About this Cook
I have a good eater 9 year old daughter and a very very picky 12 year old and a total meat and potatoe 13 year old.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. Although I stay away from anything extravagant. But I am dying to learn and explore.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am enjoying starting one with my daughter since she is the least picky. We bake together and make Sunday breakfast together. We are usually eating it and the boys have cereal.
My cooking triumphs
When I baked for my church years ago for a Thanksgiving feast and I made 5 or 6 cakes each very different, 5 pies each different and probaly about 3 or 4 different cookie types and each type was probaly about 2 dozen.
My cooking tragedies
When I baked and baked and baked for my church's Thanksgiving Feast and I had just laid out my first batch of cookies and my son walked right up to them and SNEEEEZED on them!! AGH.......so I had to throw them away. It was so cold outside you could see the heat coming off them in the garbage can. About 3 or 4 years ago I went through a phase where I was going to find the perfect meatloaf recipe and so I tortured my family for like 3 weeks with trying to make the perfect meatloaf from everyone's "family secret recipe". We have yet to eat meatloaf again. It was HELL!!!!

Fluffy French Toast
EASY...EASY....EASY.....Nothing fancy with the recipe....a good basic recipe that can easily adapt to add-on's if you choose. I used a basic bread and it turned out perfect. My kids don't like a lot of straight from the bottle cinnamon so they take the premade Cin. Sugar and sprinkle it on after I cook it.
