I used to work for a Scandinavian shop where we served aebleskivers and recently went on a quest to find the pan and the perfect recipe. I found the pan on the discount end racks at Target and then found this recipe. I made the recipe as stated except added vanilla and had to make the buttermilk. I served them to guests with an assortment of toppings to choose from including butter, maple syrup, lingonberries, whipped cream, and of course applesauce, lavender! They loved it!

Tasty! Great recipe, I made it as is except substituted the 1/2 the oil for applesauce, added walnuts into the mix instead of doing the topping, and tripled the orange zest because the other reviewers mentioned that there was not much of an orange taste. They taste healthy and yummy!

Too flat and too greasy for my taste, I accredit it to too much butter and not enough oatmeal. After two pans, I changed up the dough by adding more oatmeal and flour, the cookies looked a little better. I will keep looking for the perfect oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe.
