I am passionate about food. I often daydream about what I will have at my next meal or fantasize about past meals that were especially delicious. I love to travel and I have lived in a lot of different places, and try to incorporate local ingredients and specialties in my everyday cooking. I have a baby boy who was born in spring 2005, and I am happy to report he is an expert at eating, a real foodie like his mom. I am trained as a lawyer but sometimes think I should have gone to cooking school to become a chef.

soups, pastas, desserts that impress, Thanksgiving dinner, a ladies' lunch
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother used to bake dozens and dozens of sugar cookies at Christmas, and then round up anyone in the family or neighborhood with a free hand to help decorate them.
My cooking triumphs
Once before a holiday I used all the food in the refrigerator to make a meal. I can't remember what it was or how it tasted, but I do remember feeling great that I didn't have to throw any of it in the garbage!
My cooking tragedies
When I was about 14 I covered something for the oven with saran wrap. It melted to the food much to the shock of nobody but me.
