About this Cook
I've been cooking since I was 3 or 4. While in grade school, I was in 4-H and won several awards for baking and cake decorating. Now, I'm winning awards (i.e., smiles from family and friends!) for everyday meals and such.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking desserts and I really enjoy trying new recipes and tweaking them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We usually go all out at Thanksgiving and Christmas making several types of pies and all the typical holiday fare. Since I love baking, the holidays are my favorite time of year!
My cooking triumphs
I have become a master at making "allergy-free" foods. With allergies to things like wheat and eggs it sometimes takes some creativity, but I have plenty of people who'd tell you I make some pretty tasty treats that you'd never realize are free of these ingredients!
My cooking tragedies
The one draw back to my cooking - it looks like a hurricane hit the kitchen when I'm done no matter what the end product is! It's part of my charm my husband says - one of the many reasons I married him. :)

Leg of Lamb with Raspberry Sauce
This was a nice refreshing dish. I really enjoyed it. My husband, however, asked where the pound cake was. He felt it was a bit too sweet for a main course. On the subject of presentation, this would be great for Valentine's Day with it's colorful raspberry sauce.
