Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
I rate this one a five star because you can freeze them up to a month before you use them. Just take them out of the freezer and put them in the fridge the night before you want them. I always use red potatoes. Most potatoes go watery when frozen but not these.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
This Lemonade is the best that I have ever had in my life. I added ice cold water from a water cooler instead of waiting for it to cool to room temperature. This is for sure a five star recipe!

Almond Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
Very good recipe! Thank you Renae for sharing this one. The only problem I had was finding roasted honey alonds so I made my own. I could only find sliced natural almonds. I put one cup in a bowl and mixed them with 2 tablespoons of honey, then lined a cookie sheet with foil and sprayed it with Pam. I carefully sprinkled them on the sprayed cookie sheet and roasted them at 400F watching them until they began to brown for only a few mins, then I moved them around so I could get most of the moisture out and browned them evenly. It can be a little wet when you take them out because they will candy more when they cool. Also, you can seperate the ones that stick together when they cool. So don't sweat it if you can't find roasted honey nuts you can make your own.

Great tasty I just loved it. I will make it again. It is important not to put the dressing on untill your ready to eat, just like you would do to a ceaser salad.

Green Chile and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
This was very well done. Even when you make it all in lowfat-cheese and sour cream.I also used a box of Uncle Bens wild and white rice seasoned. It was a hit everyone liked it.But the next time I make it I will use a little more green chiles to give it a little more of a bite. This dish went very well with the Bourbon Pecan Chicken.

Turkey Brine

The very best roasted turkey I ever made. It also makes the best gravy and lots of it. I highly recommend it. You won't be dissapointed it's worth trying.Instead of a cup of sea salt try useing 1/4 cup of Morton Tender Quick Cure its the best. Not so salty and keeps the meat moist.

Very very good make extra gravy and put it on rice or even egg noodles. I used boneless pork lion center chops and that cut the cooking time in half.I would definately make this dish again.
